The Strategy Associate will play a critical role in supporting IHOP's strategic planning and execution efforts. This position requires a highly analytical and collaborative individual who can assist in driving key initiatives, conduct market research and scenario analyses, and build a Brand strategy center of excellence to fuel innovation.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of quantitative expertise, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to help identify opportunities and guide decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Tracking: Assist in the development and execution of IHOP's strategic planning process. Own the tracking of key strategic initiatives, including frequent check-ins with strategic priority owners to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Scenario Analysis: Conduct regular scenario analyses to inform business planning, assess risks, and prioritize opportunities in a dynamic market environment.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Perform in-depth market analyses to identify capability gaps, uncover new growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Testing Center of Excellence: Build and manage IHOP's testing center of excellence, ensuring a prioritized, efficient, and active pipeline of tests to drive innovation and operational improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across departments to drive strategic projects and innovation

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in management consulting, restaurant strategy, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or another quantitative field
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to work with data, conduct analyses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Target salary $95k- $105k

Helpful Industry Experience (Not Required):

  • Restaurant industry knowledge.
  • Familiarity with franchised business models.
  • Background in marketing or marketing analytics.
  • Expertise in financial forecasting and modeling.
