RESPONSIBILITIES:



Primary responsibilities are in support of new laser product introduction. Performs precision optical alignment and assembly of UV laser cavity. Tests and qualifies finished product using a variety of diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoots systems, recommends and implements solutions to complex issues. Assembles and tests various optical and mechanical sub-assemblies. Manages production flow, work order data entry and laboratory up-keep. Maintains, and assists in documenting standard operating procedures (SOP's). Provides feedback, data and final test reports to Manufacturing and Product Development teams.



Requirements

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:



  • Experience with high precision laser optical alignment and test setups.
  • Experience with various optical and electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of non-linear frequency conversion.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience handling and cleaning optics under a microscope.
  • Ability to assemble, handle, diagnose and repair small, sensitive and high value optical and electrical components.
  • Soldering and precision assembly skills
  • Ability to follow SOP's and improve efficiency as required.
  • Clean room protocol and PPE experience (full suit & mask)
  • Ability to work independently, focus on task at hand, maintain accuracy and quality of work.


Qualifications: Education & Personal Characteristics



  • Associates Degree or 5+ years related experience.
  • Organized, energetic, reliable, timely, detail oriented.
  • Ability and desire to handle work of diverse scope and complexity.
  • Works well under pressure in a production environment.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Current computer skills.
  • Desire to learn, grow and succeed.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to quality



Additional Requirements: Lifting of items up to 50 pounds will be required, walking, standing, lifting and reaching.


Depending on work needs, first shift schedule can vary.

Pay Range:


The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.



Other Compensation: Employees in this role are eligible for additional rewards which could include:



  • Annual Discretionary Bonus or Sales Bonus as Applicable
