Overview

Alliance Cancer Specialists, the most extensive community-based oncology practice in Southeastern PA, is growing our Clinical team! We are seeking an Oncology Liaison. The perfect candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual excited to join our hardworking team here at Alliance. This position will primarily be located at our Doylestown Office and will require travel between additional sites- Sellersville and Chalfont.

The Oncology Liaison is a qualified sales representative, responsible for prospecting, nurturing and maintaining relationships with referring physicians to achieve practice growth goals. The Oncology Liaison participates in sales planning, analysis, targeting, reporting and development of their respective territory as well as the overall practice.


Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with operational leaders, physicians, site managers, and practice staff to understand business needs, plan and execute sales and marketing strategies which align with practice goals
  • Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues and ensure referral feedback is communicated/followed up appropriately
  • Establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring physicians and/or their office staff, including peer-to-peer, routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls
  • Implement practice growth strategy in core markets and partner with Practice Marketing to implement the selling approach in each market
  • Utilize CRM, market analysis, trends, and performance reporting to develop sales plans and track practice growth
  • Support practice growth efforts through practice visits, sales calls, tumor boards, community events, trade-shows and cross-business collaboration
  • Adhere to liaison administrative duties, including managing travel expenses within guidelines and budget, timely completion of expense reports, and use of tools such as Salesforce and Business Objects
  • The Oncology Liaisons supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards and Shared Values.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    * 4-year undergraduate degree required, preferably with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare.
    * Experience: Minimum 3 -5 years sales experience, preferably healthcare sales, calling on physician accounts

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
    * Proven record of success in sales, preferably healthcare
    * Highly collaborative individual capable of performing in a matrixed environment
    * Strong understanding of consultative sales, call cycles, and territory planning
    * Fact-based decision maker with strong emphasis on data, trends, and market analytics;
    * Proficient with CRM and business intelligence reporting, preferably Salesforce and Business Objects
    * Strategic thinker and financially oriented individual who understands how to drive profitable growth
    * Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability work with a wide range of individuals, particularly physicians
    * Strong Conflict management and resolution skills, handling customer complaints and objections
    * Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills; Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires full range of body motion including, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Position requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present within the assigned territory/region during regularly scheduled business hours. The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require travel by automobile, approximately 70% of work week. Sales positions require regularly working outside the office in order to call on clients and build relationships.
