Responsibilities

Within the Imaging Market Sales group at Bruker BioSpin, we offer a new opportunity for a Business Development Representative working with preclinical PET/SPECT/CT products in the US. The Preclinical Imaging Division at Bruker Biospin develops and sells innovative preclinical PET/SPECT/CT solutions dedicated to both modular and high-throughput state-of-the-art research applications in the field of infectious diseases, oncology, neurology, cardiology and inflammation. Typical applications include better diagnosis and improved treatment of disease through the development of new pharmaceuticals. Our PET/SPECT/CT clients are highly skilled senior researchers located at 100's of top universities, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.

    Support the development and management of the lead/business development plan in US Region
  • Work with sales, marketing, and applications teams to develop awareness and communication initiatives in the region.
  • Maintain a strong intelligence of real-time developments in market and region landscape.
  • Lead prospect interactions with strategic positioning content.
  • Prepare and deliver regular forecasts and lead development updates
  • Support the full sales process from prospecting for initial contacts via web search or conferences/events through to on-site customer visits, demonstrations and ordering process
  • Actively participate in scientific symposiums, national and international conferences and educational programs of interest
  • Maintain and develop a constructive relationship with existing customers and leverage their scientific output where possible
  • Actively search for new business opportunities, including new business models, and new sales channels.
  • Provide input for the overall commercial strategy based on field observations
  • Provide regular reporting on activities and status, including a quarterly forecast with updates on a bi-weekly basis


Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (Master, PhD) in technical, scientific, medical or life sciences discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on sales and scientific research work experience in commercial or academic research markets
  • Recent work experience and proven knowledge of biology and imaging technology
  • Recent work experience involving PET/SPECT data acquisition & processing
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of preclinical imaging technologies and methodology
  • Energetic and results-driven professional with excellent organizational skills
  • Team player while also able to work independently and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, and proposal communication and presentation skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe
  • Written and spoken fluency in English required. Spanish and other languages desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with audiences of varying technical knowledge and levels.
  • High sense of initiative to collaborate within an entrepreneurial global team.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state or province required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $78,300 and $138,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
