The Role

We are looking for an experienced digital marketer to lead the digital marketing strategy and execution for the Credit business at Morningstar. As the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will partner closely with our marketing and cross-functional teams and be responsible for the development, execution, measurement, and optimization of digital marketing strategy and campaigns. This role is a great opportunity to drive growth and make a meaningful impact on one of Morningstar's largest and fastest-growing business units.

To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape and extensive hands-on experience across paid marketing channels and marketing technology platforms. You will also have exceptional data-analysis skills, a proven ability to translate marketing data into actionable insights, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and is based in our New York office. The role requires at least 3 days per week onsite as part of Morningstar's hybrid working policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of the credit brands, offerings and audience segments
  • Develop the strategy to expand the reach and awareness of credit brands, and generate demand for credit offerings globally through organic and paid digital marketing channels - primary channels include social, search and display
  • Design and execute data-driven paid digital marketing campaigns in line with that strategy
  • Own and manage the social media pages of the credit brands in line with that strategy
  • Own all aspects of campaign execution across organic and paid digital marketing platforms
  • Manage the digital marketing budget and agency partners globally
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and other marketing functions to inform the digital strategy and campaign execution plan, and to ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing activities
  • Collaborate with Copy to craft creative, compelling campaign copy that resonates with the target audience segment and drives the desired action
  • Collaborate with Design to develop engaging campaign creatives that drive the desired action
  • Ensure all technical requirements are in place across our websites and other digital platforms for accurate and timely measurement and tracking of all digital marketing activities
  • Define, measure, and analyze the success of all digital marketing activities and optimize based on data-driven insights to continuously improve our outcomes relative to our goals
  • Present progress and results to stakeholders and senior business leaders regularly in well-designed dashboards - demonstrating a clear ROI from our digital marketing efforts
  • Bring subject matter expertise into all our thinking and planning by staying current on digital marketing best practices and finding the bridges to apply them
  • Develop, implement, and continuously evolve marketing operations best practices and processes
  • Perform other duties as necessary to achieve business goals

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong focus on performance marketing at an agency
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing a digital marketing strategy for a high-growth business and creatively translatingthestrategiesinto compelling campaigns
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience across paid digital marketing channels (e.g., social, search, display), ad management platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Ad Manager), and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Data Studio)
  • Experience managing budgets and external agency partners
  • Exceptional data-analysis skills with a data-driven approach to solving marketing challenges and strong analytical skills to translate both qualitative and quantitative data into opportunities for action
  • High attention to detail in both written and visual context and a deep appreciation and proven ability for detailed execution of marketing activities
  • A track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams as well as working independently and autonomously
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively with stakeholders and prioritize to deliver high-quality work within deadline

Base Salary Compensation Range

$89,804.00 - 152,674.00 USD Annual

Bonus Target %

12.5% Annual

Morningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week.
