Role Summary

As the Charging Incentives Manager, you will be instrumental in leading Rivian's Charging Incentives Team to identify, apply for, secure and retain public funding supporting Rivian's Adventure Network (RAN). You will work closely with other members of the Policy Team, the Rivian Adventure Network Team as well as Rivian's Go-To-Market and Deployment teams to strategize and align on efforts to secure incentive funding programs to support Rivian's Adventure Network. You will also work closely with Rivian's Compliance and Incentives Reporting Manager to align with compliance and reporting requirements for incentive programs.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with a group of cross-functional partners to develop a strategic plan to pursue charging incentives supporting the annual Rivian Adventure Network's budget goals.
  • Lead a team to ensure timely submission of charging incentive program applications and supporting documentation, and coordinate with partners to ensure subsequent compliance documentation for projects awarded public funding.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to establish and maintain systems and processes to identify, track, and monitor incentive applications and the submission of supporting documentation.
  • Maximize existing bandwidth and resources to pursue incentive programs that result in the greatest impact to Rivian Adventure Network's budget.
  • Liaise with external industry/advocacy groups and policy makers.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year college or university degree required; graduate degree in public policy or a law degree is a plus
  • 5-7 years experience in public funding, government affairs/policy related roles.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and managing a group of employees.
  • Strong knowledge of electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with Federal, State, local, and utility EV charging incentive and grant programs.
  • Experience with non-charging related federal, state, and local EV grant programs and compliance processes is a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills, analytical abilities, and the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and workload.
  • Experience interacting with industry/advocacy groups and policy-makers to advocate on the company's behalf.
  • Experience coordinating and leading the sale of transferable tax credits a plus.
  • Ability to compile information and analyze data to drive decision making.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Hex and Tableau a plus.
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with the ability to succinctly communicate and prioritize competing needs of the business.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Normal, IL based applicants: $102,000 - $127,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range for Irvine, CA based applicants: $112,000 - $140,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range for Palo Alto, CA based applicants: $121,000 - $152,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
