The VBA Dedicated Network Operations Manager is responsible for analyzing current network gaps and needs, targeting and recruiting medical providers to join our contracted network to service patients on behalf of our customers. They will assess and resolve practitioner's concerns, while serving as main point of contact.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Monitor and manage the VBA dedicated provider network in support of the VBA MDE contract
  • Assist in efforts to enhance ease of use of physician portal and future services enhancements
  • Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build/nurture positive relationships between the health plan, providers, and practice managers
  • Support development and management of provider networks
  • Help implement training and development of external providers through education programs
  • Identify gaps in network composition and services to assist network contracting and development teams
  • Looks for opportunities to collaborate
  • Prioritizes and aligns resources with tasks, benchmarks, timelines, and deliverables
  • Monitors and measures progress on getting to high quality results

Required Qualifications:



  • 4+ years of health care/managed care/event coordination experience
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time when needed
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience
  • Proven intermediate level of proficiency in claims processing and issue resolution
  • Proven ability to rebound quickly in reaction to adversity
  • Proven ability to build networks and relationships
  • Proven ability to organize by thinking through the best sequence of steps necessary to make the most efficient use of time and resources
  • Proven ability to actively align and confirm key tasks essential to deliver and surpass customer expectations

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
