Lead Release Train Engineer (Hybrid)

You will support and coach an Infrastructure and Operations agile release train by steering it to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in large, environments. Help resolve and escalate impediments, manage risk, help assure value delivery, and guide program level continuous improvement. You will report to the Senior Manager, IT Delivery.

Position Compensation Range:

$97,000.00 - $164,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Facilitate and manage release train execution across departments and scrum teams.
  • Collaborate with the program team to prioritize the features to be considered in the next planning event.
  • Facilitate the program team's refinement of features to be considered in the next planning event to meet the feature definition of ready.
  • Ensure communication and coordination for and during planning.
  • Manage change to the release train plan and the impacts of those changes.
  • Guide cross team and departmental impediment escalation, planning and collaboration.
  • Provide communication across the program and partners for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
  • Guide program-level improvement and consistency across release train through retrospectives and forums.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-focused solutions or support.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring on Agile methodology, Scrum Framework, and working in a scaled Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and accomplishing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple teams in a technology delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated skills to explain technical and project related information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff.
  • Broad range of program management and leadership skills required.
  • Experience balancing concurrent activities.
  • Knowledge of software development in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to align dependencies and deliverables.
  • Experience with servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution and continuous improvement.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 5%.
Additional Job Information

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.
