Financial Accountant

We are presently seeking aFinancial Accountant who will work out of our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. and is committed to ensuring overall business success and corporate governance. We excel at delivering innovative and customized components, sub-assemblies and fully integrated photonic systems to meet the unique illumination, optronic, sensing and optical technology needs of global OEM customers.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly financial reporting close and consolidation process to ensure that financial transactions are properly captured, complete and accurately reported;
• Preparation of and assistance with audit deliverables and related inquiries including preparation of additional supporting documentation;
• Preparation of periodic corporate reporting schedules and related analysis; assistance with ad hoc corporate reporting requirements;
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual site financial information to ensure compliance with Global Accounting Policies and GAAP;
• Drive continuous process improvement within the organization;
• Special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of accounting experience;
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with related industry experience;
• Solid skills and experience with financial and accounting reporting systems/applications (i.e. Hyperion, SAP, Oracle);
• MS Office including strong Excel skills;
• A strong, open, receptive communication style and collaborative approach to work and problem solving.
