We're looking for a Head of Specialty Pharmacy & Trade (SP&T) to lead our specialty pharmacy channel strategy, build impactful partnerships, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive patient access and experience. What will you do?:
- Define, lead, and execute inclusive trade strategies to ensure broad patient access to Glaukos products.
- Lead the SP&T team, overseeing contract negotiations, business performance monitoring, and specialty pharmacy (SP) channel management.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Specialty Pharmacy partners and other distribution stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally to align on product launch strategies and drive shared organizational goals.
- Act as the subject matter expert on distribution models, including SPs, Wholesalers, Specialty Distributors, GPOs, and Hospitals.
- Collaborate with Reimbursement Liaisons, HUB, Patient Services, and Commercial teams to ensure coordinated strategy and operations.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on ROI, net sales impact, and channel performance.
- Present performance updates, metrics, and strategic initiatives related to SP and distribution channels to senior leadership.
- Represent Glaukos at industry-sponsored events, showcasing thought leadership and reinforcing partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and privacy guidelines across trade and distribution activities.
How will you get there?:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on Specialty Pharmacy and Trade (Manufacturer or SP Side), ideally in Market Access.
- Proven leadership with 4+ years of people management experience, fostering high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Deep expertise in distribution networks-including specialty and retail pharmacies, specialty distributors, GPOs, and hospitals.
- Extensive experience in Specialty Pharmacy contract negotiations, with a strong grasp of marketplace dynamics and emerging trends.
- Successful track record launching rare disease pharmaceutical products and navigating the complexities of that space.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. access and reimbursement landscape-including pricing, payer coverage, co-pay support, prior authorizations, and patient support services.
- Solid understanding of reimbursement methodologies used by commercial and government payers (including Medicaid FFS and Managed Medicaid).
- Skilled in data analytics and insights, with 5+ years of experience in data aggregation and analysis to drive informed recommendations.
- Excellent communicator-able to lead cross-functional projects, present clearly, and collaborate with Market Access and Strategy teams.
- Solutions-focused, customer-centric, and well-versed in regulatory, legal, and compliance considerations for success in a complex environment.
