Investment Product Development and Activation Leader

SEI's Asset Management Unit has an immediate opening for a leader of Investment Product Development and Activation.

This role reports to the Head of Asset Management and will be responsible for leading a new group within the unit that will focus on the development of investment products for use inside and outside of investment models that not only can improve portfolio outcome across all existing client segments but also drive success in new markets. They will be responsible for leading the development and execution strategy for new investment products including driving overall business growth by overseeing the entire product launch and activation process, collaborating with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, and engineering to ensure a smooth transition from product release to widespread usage.

What you will do:

  • Strategy development: Craft a comprehensive product activation strategy aligned with the overall product roadmap, identifying key target audiences, and defining success metrics.

  • Go-to-market planning: Lead the planning and execution of launch activities, including messaging, communication channels, and user onboarding processes.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with product management, marketing, sales, customer success, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and coordinated efforts.

  • User experience optimization: Analyze user data to identify areas for improvement in the product activation process, optimizing user flows, and addressing potential barriers to adoption.

  • Campaign management: Overseeing the development and implementation of targeted activation campaigns to drive user engagement and adoption.

  • Team leadership: Building and managing a team of product activation specialists, providing guidance and coaching to ensure effective execution of the activation plan

What we need from you:

  • BA/BS degree in related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development or product management within the investment management industry.

  • Extensive knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience and understanding of requirements of third-party distribution platform providers within the Financial Advisor industry. Significant relationships with these providers.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver product solutions.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple agendas and achieve results

  • Track record of innovation and cross-functional collaboration. This position includes strategy management and execution, and up to 40% travel potential.
