Position Description:

In the role of a Senior Compensation Consultant you will be working in our Human Resources Department.

Summary
Collaborate with managers and department leadership to
maintain consistent, accurate and timely compensation consultation. Provide advanced analysis of compensation trends and provide guidance for annual compensation planning. Develop presentations and graphical representations of data in support of recommendations. Partner with the Budget Office during departmental budget preparation for upcoming fiscal year. Work collaboratively with HR leadership team members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions to resolve complex issues and oversee day-to-day application, communication and implementation of compensation policies.

  • Measure the effectiveness of programs to ensure organizational objectives are being met.

  • Demonstrate ownership over the compensation related HR modules in HRIS/Workday.

  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate federal, state and local laws and regulations.

  • Responsible for submission of salary surveys, analysis of labor market information, and assisting with the implementation of wage and salary guidelines.

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and communication of recurring programs, including the key leader incentive program and merit cycle. Provide additional guidance to institution leaders pertaining to other current and potential merit, incentive, and bonus plans.

  • Review and analyze requests for new or revised positions to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.

  • Conduct annual and ad-hoc market pricing for all MCW positions to ensure market competitiveness is maintained. Analyze labor market information and assist with the maintenance of wage and salary guidelines.

  • Maintain job description templates and employee files to ensure all positions are documented.

  • Perform job evaluations for all positions to ensure institution-wide consistency in titles and grades. Utilizing FLSA standards and guidelines, place positions in appropriate classifications.

  • Evaluate compensation budget submission for each department as part of the annual budget cycle.

  • Perform detailed data analysis and manipulation with very granular level data while summarizing and presenting relevant findings to multiple levels of stakeholders.

  • Provide organizational support to the business/financial/operational leaders through internal management reporting and dashboards and a variety of business analysis.

  • Research, analyze, and measure compensation solutions to ensure competitive pay practices.

  • Use computer databases, electronic spreadsheets, desktop publishing, word processing, and statistical applications to manipulate, analyze, develop and present data.

  • Provide insightful analysis and design creative visual displays of information that "tells the story" appropriate for reporting to senior level executives and management.

  • Escalated point of contact for all general compensation inbox inquiries. Provide response to questions or delegate inquiries to appropriate team members for assistance.

  • Coach and/or train less experienced team members.

  • Complete special projects as assigned.


All remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states, which currently includes: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN,TX, and UT.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years

Preferred Certification/Licensure(s): Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Target salary range for this position is between $74,500.00 and $94,900.00 annually. The final offered salary will depend on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and knowledge, as well as considerations of internal equity and market alignment.
