We are currently seeking to fill our Program Coordinator position at the Philadelphia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator will assist the Project Directors, Clinical Psychologists, and the Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) to administer a comprehensive gun violence education and treatment program, SHELTER (Support and Healing through Empowerment, Learning, and Trauma Education in Recovery after gun violence). SHELTER will address the needs of high-risk communities in four key areas: 1) educating clinicians and staff regarding gun violence; 2) sharing information about existing community-based resources with patients and families; and 3) referring victims of gun violence to behavioral health specialists for evaluation and treatment. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with identification and recruitment of eligible SHELTER program participants, program data collection, planning of educational/training sessions, and administrative tasks.

This position is funded for three years. Funding of this position is contingent upon the continued funding of the grant/contract. This position will require full-time, onsite work in three locations in Philadelphia, PA (Hassman Family Medicine Center/City Ave, Cambria and Lancaster Divisions).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with the Postdoctoral Fellow, Project Directors, and Healthcare Center providers and staff to identify, screen, and enroll SHELTER program participants at three PCOM Healthcare Centers;
* Assist the Postdoctoral Fellow to schedule SHELTER program visits and conduct pre-visit reminders;
* Collect program-related data and enter information into the program database;
* Maintain the SHELTER program database and participant tracking systems;
* Request or acquire equipment, surveys or supplies necessary for the project;
* Attend project meetings and other meetings as necessary;
* Research and prepare information on community resources;
* Assist with the planning and conduct of SHELTER medical education and training sessions;
* Develop and distribute SHELTER educational and intervention program materials; and
* Perform related responsibilities as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education
* A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health or a related field.
* Note: An approved CAS Exception is required for anyone who is charged to a federal grant or contract under this job code.

Experience
* Knowledge Of: Program evaluation preferred but not required
* Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Mild physical work. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and drive/commute to Healthcare Center sites.
* Additional Information: Three-year commitment is preferred.

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
