The UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of DC proudly serves the Dual Eligible Special Needs (D-SNP) population in the District of Columbia and is excited to recruit for our Director of Provider Services and Operations.

If you are located in or near the District of Columbia, you will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid model (2-3 days a week in office located in Washington, DC.) as you take on some tough challenges. Expect to spend about 10% of your time in local D.C. market.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provider Services and Network Strategy and Management, including:


    • FQHC, HCBS and other Core Providers Strategy, Management and Partnerships
    • Encounters/Claims Oversight & Management
    • Network Adequacy Oversight & Management


  • Operations Management, including reporting/audit accountability, MMIS and IT support and supporting the Chief Operating Officer on business priorities
  • Enrollee Enrollment/Eligibility, including oversight of reporting requirements, process improvements, issue resolution, etc.
  • People Management, including managing and developing staff and driving performance

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare Operations
  • 3+ years of experience in Provider Services and/or Network
  • 3+ years of experience in Claims/Encounters Systems and/or Reporting
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicaid and/or D-SNP Programs
  • 3+ years of experience in People/Team Management
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel and Data Reporting & Analysis
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within the local market
  • Commuting Distance from DC Office (655 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Deep knowledge/experience of the District of Columbia and/or its Healthcare Agency
  • Demonstrated skillset in project/program management
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem-solve and resolve issues timely in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and build relationships within a matrixed, large organization
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbally/written) effectively with different stakeholders, both internal and external

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
