The Focus Sales Manager, Highly Flexible Coupling Technologies, has the primary customer interface responsibility to promote Voith's Highly Flexible Coupling product line within the USA. This position involves technical as well as commercial product sales support, product selection, pricing, and quotation development for our industry products as used in various mechanical power transmission applications. This position requires an understanding of rotating mechanical power transmission engineering design as well as application knowledge for electro-mechanical and combustion engine drive systems. Although the primary responsibility of this position is to sell and support Highly Flexible Couplings, Voith also has complementing products to offer which could be of interest to the customers of Highly Flexible Couplings. Cross promotion and selling of all Voith's products are a must. Prefer candidates near York, PA or Houston, TX. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain new as well as existing customer accounts, i.e., OEM, engineering/consulting firms, Distributor and End User.
- Organize and host product presentations and technical application discussions in person and online.
- Collect and evaluate customer application specifications to make initial product selections using Voith selection methods and tools.
- Collaborate with the Voith product application and sales support team to create and confirm solutions, generate unit pricing, and project quotations, i.e., price indication quotes as well as detailed firm quotes.
- Coordinate with inside sales, operations planning and purchasing department colleagues as needed to communicate project requirements and deadlines. The use of project kick-off meetings for more complex orders and subsequent project follow up is a must.
- Provide technical product support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Provide sales and marketing information as required, i.e., develop business and sales plans and forecasts. Assist to establish and review agreed targets for the product line on an annual basis.
- Support the global VT2030 Growth plan for Highly Flexible Coupling sales.
- Participate at industry trade events and assist with the coordination of Voith marketing activities.
- Maintain all sales activities and customer relationship management through Voith's CRM program SalesForce.
- Support other Voith marketing companies when projects are of an international scope with either end-user accounts, OEM accounts, or engineering/consulting accounts which are based in the USA.
- Travel required as needed, ~ 25% of the time. Primary travel within the USA and occasionally to Sweden and Germany.
- Collaborate with and support our After-Market Business sales team, sales representative and distributor network, for replacement and retrofit unit opportunities.
- Be prepared to work the occasional weekend for travel or exhibition attendance.
- Special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university. Applicants with a business degree should also have a technical engineering degree or related experience.
- Experience in relevant Product Management, Application Engineering, Customer Account Management and/or Sales experience in the Mechanical Power Transmission Industry.
- Experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with SalesForce is a plus.

- The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus required.
- The job requires moderate travel. The successful candidate will need to travel via personal car, rental car, trains and airplanes.
