Summary:

The Supply Chain Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering and supply chain students to experience working with a global company.The intern in this role will be trained on sourcing, procurement, logistics processes & tasks and business software tools (Microsoft Office/Navision etc.)

Responsibilities:



  • Conduct Spend Analytics and Market Intelligence (supply/demand, pricing trends, risks, etc.).
  • Assist with Supplier Monitoring, including reviewing Supplier On-Time on daily basis, processing and submitting monthly purchasing team / supplier performance reports
  • Assist with the handling of Non-Conforming Material, including notifying and processing of rejected material for return to supplier.
  • Process import paperwork, custom clearance, and cargo pick-up with US Ocean Ports
  • Analyze logistic route, 3PL performance and quote trend to suggest cost saving initiative



Requirements:



  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or other business disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve, with a positive attitude and solid communication skills.
