In the role of Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:



  • Serve as a technical expert water/wastewater planning, design, and construction projects
  • Prepare and guide junior staff in the preparation of design plans for major mechanical engineering projects
  • Make interpretive detailed sketches or layouts of intricate or fundamental portions of the basic design plan for municipal water or wastewater projects, and prepare maps, designs, plans, contract and working drawings, estimates, contract specifications, and other technical specifications
  • Approve and supervise the design, inspection, construction, demolition, installation of contracts, drawings, specifications for water and wastewater projects
  • Report on contracts and contract estimates, contract modifications and recommendations for awards
  • Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as needed
  • Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
  • Present and explain design element with clients on project meetings, in-person workshops, using drawings and/or PowerPoint presentations. #LI-JF1

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Civil Engineering

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • A minimum of 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing water distribution systems
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software
  • Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $132,000 - $189,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
