Location: Sumner

Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $21.75/hour - $28.85/hour

Position

The Driver is responsible for driving company vehicles, providing transportation of supplies, tool movement, interoffice mail, and customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage movement of production tooling for all departments according to Production Control schedule.
  • Deliver finished products to customer, maintaining good customer relations.
  • Deliver production molds to production center. Assist with moving carts in / out of truck to designated areas.
  • Transport supplies to and from vendors when needed.
  • Compile physical inventories and reconcile with perpetual inventory records.
  • Provide general warehouse assistance as needed in receiving, shipping, and inventory. Basic data entry, and occasional forklift operation.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote workplace safety.
  • Coordinate collection and delivery schedules to maximize effectiveness of time and vehicle usage.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced driving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer centric focus with excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Effective problem solving and record keeping.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Flexibility to alter work schedule end time and work overtime when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with ERP systems.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.

Experience

  • One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a driving position preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.

Certificates / Licenses

  • Valid WA driver's license.
  • Proof of insurance.
  • Three year driving abstract.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

  • Drive in small, enclosed spaces.
  • Multi-temperature environment.
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment.
  • Exposure to contaminants.
  • Shared workspaces with other employees.
  • Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Move, pull, and push heavy rolling storage racks with team member assistance.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Sitting, standing or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)

  • Respirator

  • Safety Goggles

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets. Please note that the pay rate shown above is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
