Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Product Owner. The Sr. Product Owner will be responsible for products or platforms delivering digital solutions as a service in the Daikin organization. This role owns the technical strategy behind multiple products, services, or features, and establishes a vision for these products to leverage identified opportunities within the assigned functional area through an iterative approach. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams and identify industry best practices to develop a product roadmap and prioritize with a specific scope to build and deliver features. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

What you will do:



  • Provide strategic ownership of the systems and processes supporting the Applied Development Center (ADC) with the intent to evaluate and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and leverage progressive technologies to drive synergies across the ADC and the broader organization.
  • Provide full-cycle project management of cross-functional teams to implement system improvements, including developing documentation of all processes and delivering training, as needed.
  • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scopes, system goals, and requirements, and track project milestones.
  • Partner with departments to represent needs and implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and performance.
  • Gather data, assess trends, identify gaps, use imperfect data to draw reasonable conclusions, and assemble a set of recommendations supported by numerical facts to develop a business case to garner executive support and provide ongoing communication to key business leaders.
  • Develop detailed spend and category analyses to identify areas of opportunity within a diverse set of spend categories.
  • Quantify the financial and operational impacts of the identified opportunities and build a business case to justify the investment in proceeding with the project.
  • Analyze market trends in the different sector indices to analyze strategic planning for long-range stability of cost and services.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, and/or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Solid knowledge of data systems architecture and applications to facilitate cross-functional communication to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to empower others to grow and deliver results
  • Ability to develop KPIs, Dashboards in different Tools (Power BI, OAC, SQL)
  • Skilled with Microsoft Technologies, Data Analytics (Power BI, SQL, MS SQL), Project Management (Agile/Waterfall)
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certified Agile Product Owner or Manager (CSPO). Leveraging Agile Project Methodology to collaborate with functional and cross-functional teams for product development is highly desired

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$148,800 + 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
