This position reports to

Global Product Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will own a portfolio of training courses and demo systems related to products, solutions, and tools within Process Automation Energy Industries Automation and Electrification products and technology team on a global scale.
You will work within a global product sales enablement team, collaborating with various functions such as product management, product marketing, R&D, sales engagement and other experts to design, develop and implement accurate and engaging product training and demo tools.
Your expertise in automation and electrification products, and the learning and development field is crucial to creating effective and valuable training and demo materials for both our internal users and end users.
Your responsibilities:
- Owning a portfolio of training courses related to Process Automation Energy Industries Automation and Electrification products, solutions and tools including Instructor-Led training (classroom or virtual), eLearning and webinar.
- Owning a portfolio of demo systems including hardware kits and software applications running on the cloud with the objective to demonstrate the value proposition and functionalities.
- Coordinating with the HUB demo centers leads to support the deployment of the software applications within the HUB demo centers.
- Working with product management and marketing teams to identify training and demo requirements and translating them into training and demo plans.
- Leading the design of new/updated training courses, collaborating with subject matter experts and applying instructional design principles.
- Defining user stories and demo scenarios, to demonstrate product value propositions and functionalities, collaborating with Product Marketing and Product Management.
- Implementation of training and demo plans, solving problems that may arise and eventually ensuring on time and on quality releases.
- Leading training and demo portfolio life cycle management, making decisions on portfolio obsolescence based on product evolution and other metrics.
- Informing/presenting to all relevant stakeholders the release of new training programs and new demo artifacts, maintaining updated relevant web pages and other internal repositories.
- When applicable, taking an active part in training and demo development and performing technical reviews of drafts and prototypes developed by others.
- Identifying and executing projects for process and portfolio improvements.

Qualifications for the role
  • To be successful in this role, you bring at least 10 years of experience in the Process Automation field, particularly with Distributed Control Systems and Energy Industries products. You are highly skilled in ABB's process control technologies, with basic technical knowledge of System 800xA, Symphony Plus, and the broader Process Automation Energy Industries Automation and Electrification product portfolio.
  • You have proven experience in product training design, development, and delivery, and it is beneficial if you also have hands-on experience in using, engineering, or demonstrating automation products and systems. You are highly adept in applying Instructional Design principles and have knowledge of Learning Management Systems administration, which is considered an advantage.
  • Additionally, you have a demonstrated track record in project management, successfully acting as an informal leader of global teams, fostering collaboration to deliver results. You are passionate about leadership, effective communication, and cross-functional, intercultural collaboration, and you are captivated by continuous learning and curiosity-driven development.
  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and are at ease communicating in English, both written and spoken.
