LVN Supervisor - Cancer Center Services Cancer Center Services Full Time 84396BR Job Summary Under supervision of a nurse leader, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the LVN Supervisor works independently and has primary responsibility for the supervision of the LVN/MA staff. Responsible for supervising the operational, human resource, and clinical competency skills of the medical assistants who work in the practice, including staff schedules. Coordinates and assigns lunches and breaks for all LVN/MA staff, and re-assigns tasks when other LVNs/MAa are absent. The LVN Supervisor oversees the clinic flow ensuring an efficient, well-run operation paying attention to room utilization, wait times and provider productivity. This supervisor possesses unique knowledge/expertise in a highly specialized environment that no one else on the team has. Acts as the content expert and responsible for quality improvement for the identified area of expertise. Responsible for the management of specialty programs, training, and competency of the team members. Assist with coordination of standards and or new initiatives/programs across the cancer center. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $92,400 - $138,700 (Annual Rate). The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 non-physician FTEs, 100+ cost center, and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources.
