Responsibilities
Responsible for the oversight of a team of OASIS and Medical Coding Specialists that perform the review and processing of OASIS assessments and/or coding (SOC, ROC, Recerts, Follow-Ups) for assigned care center(s). This position also ensures that their team demonstrates fiscal responsibility and maintains the highest standards of care while remaining compliant with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains subject matter expert knowledge of OASIS and coding guidelines.
- Ensures that coordination of support for assigned locations is provided following set guidelines.
- Monitors licensure and certification requirement status of direct reports.
- Partners with care center and regional leaders to ensure that all policy and procedures for OASIS changes and/or documentation are followed.
- Communicates any delays in processing assessments to the care center leadership.
- Provides education to current and new staff on OASIS, coding, and processes.
- Assists with processing of assessments to meet needs of organization.
- Identifies educational needs of care center staff and provides the education trends to AVPC and/or AVPO. Assists with training/education as needed.
- Monitors and evaluates employee performance. Holds employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives. Executes effective performance redirection when needed. Develops employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on the job training and development opportunities.

Qualifications
Required
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent one (1+) year home care management experience with clinical focus.
- One (1+) year of supervisory/team lead experience.
- ICD-10 certification (HCS-D or BCHH-C), and OASIS certification (COS-C or HCS-O).
- Strong telecommunication skills.
Preferred
- Three (3+) years' home care management experience.
- Experience managing a remote team.
