Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strategic role in aligning human resources practices with business objectives to drive organizational success. With a foundation in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment, this role is responsible for providing HR guidance to business leaders, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR initiatives across our engineering, construction, and telecommunications strategic business unit. Additionally, the HRBP must have expertise in talent acquisition, playing a key role in workforce planning and recruiting strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to align with corporate HR and implement HR strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive engagement, retention, and implement career development programs.
  • Provide guidance and implement annual performance management, coaching managers on best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with corporate HR to implement initiatives, including performance management, promotion processes, succession planning, leadership development, benefit changes and open enrollment.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Support change management efforts to drive business transformation.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, partnering with hiring managers to develop talent acquisition plans for the business unit and ensure achievement of recruiting goals.
  • Assist the Director of Talent Acquisition in overseeing SBU recruiting team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive HR experience and talent acquisition, in the engineering, construction, and telecommunications environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align and implement corporate HR.
  • Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and drive strategic decisions.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
