Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Executive Administrator in Richmond, Virginia. The Executive Administrator is responsible for performing diverse planning and administrative functions for the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, President, CFO/Executive Vice President, Executive Vice President and other members of the Leadership Team. Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years' experience in an Executive administrative position. High school diploma or equivalent, required. Experience in managing corporate air travel and coordinating travel arrangements is preferred.

Requirements for the Executive Administrator position include:
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, supervise, and establish work expectations of direct report(s).
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task, including work under pressure and handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements must be met for the Executive Administrator job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
