Overview Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of technical tasks in support of scientific research, including preparing experiments, managing laboratory equipment, and analyzing data. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results in research projects. This position is responsible for performing routine duties related to animal care in a research setting. The Lab Tech (Animal Care) will prepare and provide food, clean animal enclosures, housing accessories, and maintain a sanitary environment throughout the facility. The role involves observing and monitoring the animals health, recording environmental and health-related data, and ensuring that equipment and housing systems function properly. This position is required to uphold environmental health and safety standards and comply with all applicable regulations. This position will work as part of a team dynamic, which requires participation in staff meetings and other team activities as directed. Positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record. Applicants must NOT own rodents at home NOR reptiles that consume rodents.
