Position Summary:

TTM is seeking a Components & Reliability Engineer responsible for obsolescence review and management, Bill of Materials (BOM) control, counterfeit parts prevention, Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) review, parts compliance assessments, and support for reliability evaluations. Reliability and ILS engineering disciplines are included as supplemental activities.Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes US Citizenship

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed part documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the company's parts control program as required.
  • Participate in parts selection, application standardization, and approval processes.
  • Engage in the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) process by reviewing alerts and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support decisions regarding obsolete parts and diminishing manufacturing sources.
  • Participate in design reviews, focusing on part selection and parts technology applications.
  • Monitor subcontractors' parts control activities when applicable.
  • Serve as a liaison with government agencies such as DESC and DISC.
  • Contribute to government standardization programs.
  • Assist the reliability engineering team in developing system and component-level reliability and safety analyses.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required when working with other disciplines, customers and vendors
  • Familiarity with the PC for access to the network drafting records and purchasing system
  • Strong working knowledge of application programs: Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and specialized components and reliability programs such as SiliconExpert and Windchill tools
  • Must be familiar with high-usage parts, including circuit design, applications, and supplier capabilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including MIL-STD-100, MIL-STD-202G Method 208H, AS6081, AS6171, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1629A, and others.
  • Technical emphasis should be micro-electronics technology, applications, packaging and failure mechanisms, including familiarity with MIL-I-38535 design and construction, and MIL-STD-883 testing and screening.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents in English
  • Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required; airline travel must be acceptable
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes US Citizenship.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ Years Relevant Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$84,815 - $141,358

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
