The Onyx Research Data Tech organization is GSK's Research data ecosystem which has the capability to bring together, analyze, and power the exploration of data at scale. We partner with scientists across GSK to define and understand their challenges and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs. The goal is to ensure scientists have the right data and insights when they need it to give them a better starting point for and accelerate medical discovery. Ultimately, this helps us get ahead of disease in more predictive and powerful ways.

We are a full-stack shop consisting of product and portfolio leadership, data engineering, infrastructure and DevOps, data / metadata / knowledge platforms, and AI/ML and analysis platforms, all geared toward:

  • Building a next-generation, metadata- and automation-driven data experience for GSK's scientists, engineers, and decision-makers, increasing productivity and reducing time spent on "data mechanics"
  • Providing best-in-class AI/ML and data analysis environments to accelerate our predictive capabilities and attract top-tier talent
  • Aggressively engineering our data at scale, as one unified asset, to unlock the value of our unique collection of data and predictions in real-time

Onyx Product Management is at the heart of our mission, ensuring that everything from our infrastructure, to platforms, to end-user-facing data assets and environments is designed to maximize our impact on R&D. The Product Management team partners with R&D stakeholders and Onyx leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for all customer-facing aspects of Onyx, including data assets, ontology, Knowledge Graph / semantic search, data / computing / analysis platforms, and multi-omics applications.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with a passion for turning complex healthcare and scientific data into intuitive visual insights. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving product vision, roadmap, and delivery for how users explore, analyze, and visualize complex data. You'll work closely with scientists, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver visual experiences that simplify everything from trial performance tracking to real-world evidence analysis. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data, science, and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy for our data visualization capabilities within the context of pharma data ecosystems.
  • Own and manage the roadmap for dashboards, charting libraries, interactive visual analytics and similar features to support internal scientists.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, elegant, and scalable user interfaces.
  • Partner with engineering to prioritize features, plan sprints, and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Engage with users and customers to gather feedback, validate ideas, and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor usage data and KPIs to continuously iterate and improve the product experience.
  • Work closely with data science and analytics teams to integrate advanced visualization methods (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting visuals).
  • Act as a subject matter expert to translate user needs and scientific data requirements into compelling visual interfaces-dashboards, exploratory tools, interactive reports.
  • Influence stakeholder alignment and communicate product plans and progress to leadership.
Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, or related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in product management preferably in SaaS data visualization with Bachelor's.
  • 4 + years of experience in product management preferably in SaaS data visualization with a Master's.
  • 3+ years of experience working with product design and engineering teams in Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with scientific workflows and pharma data standards
  • Proven track record shipping data-intensive products or visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, Plotly, Looker).
  • Familiarity with BI platforms, analytics tools, and common data architectures (SQL, APIs, ETL).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinkers with strong user empathy and a bias toward action.
