Fleet Procurement Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Procurement Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, managing, and coordinating the programs for equipment acquisition, assignment, utilization, replacement, and disposal. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of fleet management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Plan, direct, manage, and coordinate programs for equipment acquisition, assignment, utilization, replacement, and disposal.
  • Policy Enhancement: Oversee, enhance, and streamline fleet equipment procurement policies and processes.
  • Vehicle Purchasing: Purchase vehicles for growth and replacement based on company policy and industry best practices.
  • Specification Development: Outline specifications for the procurement of fleet assets.
  • Reporting: Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, and fleet progress.
  • Support: Offer day-to-day support for rolling equipment needs for all sites, including supplying short-term rentals as needed.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build vendor relationships to negotiate competitive pricing and develop regional and national support.
  • Documentation: Ensure fleet listing and documentation is accurate by site.
  • Spend Review: Review facility spend and redirect purchases to core suppliers as needed.
  • Industry Expertise: Act as an industry expert to outline best practices and recommend changes to improve unit uptime, maximize warranty utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Escalate equipment compliance issues to leadership, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in fleet management and procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
