Human Resources Generalist

Salary Range: $57,000 - $66,000

Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist reporting to the HR Manager will support employee relations, performance management, onboarding, training, recruitment, and safety. Assist with developing HR policies as well as implementing approved programs and initiatives to drive employee engagement while protecting company and employee interests in accordance with company HR policies.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Administer and communicate a wide range of Human Resources policies, across all departments.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues and concerns.
• Provide support to managers regarding hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Effectively communicate questions and concerns from plant employees to the appropriate HR team.
• Initiate the onboarding and offboarding processes and conduct new employee orientations.
• Spearhead and coordinator employee recognition programs and appreciation events.
• Actively promote a positive safety culture and assist with safety initiatives.
• Provide customer service to employees by consistently responding to employee questions regarding policies and procedures.
• Maintain human resource records and compiles reports.
• Process employment verification and unemployment claims.
• Maintain all personnel files to guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of HR experience
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Highly effective communication skills, especially in de-escalating charged situations and clearly describing HR policies and practices both verbally and in writing.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, provide feedback and meaningful support to continuously improve the leaders and culture.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities.
