V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Production Control Supervisor to join our team!

Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of Production Control Supervisor at the Indianapolis site. The Production Control Supervisor professional will oversee a team of Production Controllers. The individual must be knowledgeable of MRP and material management principles. Note that this is an entry level position.

Essential Tasks:

The following is a sample of the various tasking required of the Production Control Supervisor. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.



  • Perform supervisory functions such as scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, conduct performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, and makes promotion recommendations.
  • Perform interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with the team and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Ensure the needs of employees are satisfied.
  • Lead the implementation and documentation of new processes within the team.
  • Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions on safety and quality.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage metrics related to Production Control. These metrics are presented to the MDO Leadership Team.


  • Provides direction to the Production Controllers in support of the following tasks:

    • Support the Factory Supervisors in management of Factory Supply to achieve MRP schedules that support customer requirements.
    • Monitoring of material availability in support of contractual requirements, works to factory priorities, identifies barriers and solutions to enable the factory to meet goals, and takes appropriate action to ensure the schedule goals are achieved.
    • Coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate material status.
    • Management of inventory in WIP in the Factory.
    • Material planning and order execution.




Communication Skills:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines as well as effectively communicate within a teaming environment.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle difficult discussions.


Technical Skills:



  • Ability to read and understand requirements detailed on drawings is a plus.
  • Understanding of the application and concepts of Production Control including MRP (Demand/Supply) and Inventory Management.


Computer Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.


Security Requirements:



  • The candidate must meet the requirements necessary to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance if required.

Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:



  • A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Finance or related field or a minimum five years of relevant work experience in a production and/or depot repair environment.
