This role is a contract-to-hire Candidates must be willing to relocate to Grand Rapids/Benton Harbor Michigan when converting to permanent employee Description TEKsystems is seeking 2 UX Designers to join our client's global design team. These candidates will be working on updating their current design system. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders and fellow designers to define, document, and implement reusable UI components and patterns across our digital and appliance product ecosystem, including Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). The ideal candidate has experience building design systems, a strong proficiency in Figma, excellent communication skills, and is a systematic thinker Our manufacturing client manages 10 Global brands The current absence of a standardized Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Design System within Whirlpool results in operational inefficiencies, ambiguities regarding ownership, and elevated costs associated with HMI console applications. The deployment of a comprehensive HMI Design System is anticipated to yield a scalable, centralized framework applicable across various product categories. This framework is intended to bolster consistency, operational efficiency, and collaborative endeavors among user experience (UX) and development teams. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
