Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Launch Strategist to join our team.

As a Launch Strategist, you will serve as a trusted partner to biopharmaceutical clients preparing for product launches-one of the most exhilarating and critical phases in a product's lifecycle. In this role, you will support the development, management, and execution of comprehensive launch readiness plans across therapeutic areas and geographies. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, primary and secondary market research, cross-functional coordination, and client communications, with the ultimate goal of ensuring successful, on-time, and high-impact launches.

This role requires a mix of consulting experience, pharmaceutical industry knowledge, strong project management capabilities, and growing leadership acumen. You will work closely with senior consultants and directors to guide clients through launch planning, anticipate and mitigate risks, and provide analytical insights to support go-to-market strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy and product launch expertise, with a proven track record of successfully leading and executing launch plans for innovative products. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across various departments to ensure the successful launch and commercialization of our biopharmaceutical clients' products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Roadmap: Create the roadmap to commercialization and lead the product strategy for asset management.
  • Decision-making Framework: Develop a framework for Go/No-Go decision making which includes robust commercial input and benchmarking other companies in the industry.
  • Opportunity Assessment: In collaboration with the client, conduct opportunity assessment study and develop product forecast.
  • Execute Strategy and Tactical Plans: Orchestrate partnerships and activities across large matrix teams including Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Insights & Analytics, Market Access, and Sales.
  • Drive Multi-Channel Marketing Innovation: Apply advanced analytics to inform strategic decision-making and enhance execution.
  • Strategic Decisions on Market Access: Actively contribute to key strategic decisions on market access and pricing strategies in complex US payer environments.
  • Launch KPIs: Develop Commercial launch KPIs and track Brand Performance across Sales, Marketing, and Market Access
  • Strong Data Analytics: Demonstrate fluency in data analytics, including the ability to synthesize large and complex data sets to generate actionable business insights that support launch strategy and decision-making.
  • Launch Technologies: Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of emerging technologies (e.g., data platforms, launch dashboards, AI-driven forecasting tools) that enhance launch readiness and tracking.
  • Launch Innovations: Help clients identify use cases for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in commercial strategy and operations, such as predictive modeling, patient identification, and dynamic resource allocation.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into business value, bridging the gap between data science and strategic execution.
  • Client Reports: Create client-ready PowerPoint deliverables and reports that communicate complex information in a concise and visual manner.
  • Business Development: Support business development by contributing to proposals, scoping documents, and thought leadership content.
  • Team Development: Have the ability to coach and develop a high performing team
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, with direct experience in developing product strategy and executing product launches.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills.
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to synthesize data, deliver key messages, and recommended action plans.
  • Launch Planning Software: Familiarity with launch planning software and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Veeva).
