MCIS/BSWS Lead
Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA Duty Description: Supervises a team of Trainers at JBLM Mission Training Complex (MTC) and ensures that students receive world-class instruction in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POIs). The employee must have comprehensive understanding and application of principles, practices, and industry standards of mission command training and training support. Must demonstrate the skill and ability to independently perform complex professional tasks and solve complex problems. Must be able to develop approach to solutions and independently make decisions that do not result in serious program delays or considerable expenditure of resources The employee will provide consulting expertise to military and defense clients in the development and evaluation of military training and participate in determining unit objectives. Represents the MCIS team daily as a prime contact and interacts with senior internal and external partners on significant matters often requiring coordination between multiple stakeholders. The employee will develop and deliver presentations.
Ensures all Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) are loaded with the latest software version, that all classrooms are simulation driven and demonstrating multi-MCIS integration; also responsible for ensuring all individual training equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Manages the scheduling of courses, the enforcement of standards required for students to graduate, and the cross-training and professional development of the Team. Prepares MCIS briefing material for the supported Mission Command Training audience. Ensures the team is prepared to support various simulation exercises using WARSIM and other Simulation systems. Responsible for supporting various exercises with "over the shoulder" MCIS support. Is prepared to assist in the training of all supported classes. Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 10 years military training experience and 5 years Command Post Operations experience in lieu of education
* Must possess an active SECRET security clearance.
* Must have analytical subject matter expertise on CPCE and Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) Integration in support of Mission Command Training.
* Must be familiar with managing and integration of various MCIS including CPCE, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, GCCS-A, JADOCS, Command Web, Tactical Messaging, WAVE and JBC-P.
* Must have a working knowledge of the following simulation systems used to support MCIS course instruction and exercise support, JLCCTC and DXTRS
* Recent (last 2 years) experience with MCIS or BSWS.
