Primary Purpose of Job

Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating marketing events to support the Bank's business goals.

Major Job Accountabilities

  • Collaborates with teammates to build a comprehensive marketing strategy for a business group and/or product. Serves as liaison to align marketing strategy with business objectives. Understands the target audience and ensures successful messaging is delivered via the appropriate channels.
  • Plans, organizes, implements and analyzes events and experiential marketing opportunities to support the Bank's business goals.
    • Develops event plans for the Bank's products, services, special promotions and corporate image.
    • Manages event schedule, meets deliverable deadlines, and develops metrics for evaluating event effectiveness.
  • Oversees the Bank's event and sponsorship vendors/agencies
    • Negotiates contracts
    • Provides direction on marketing spend and advertising channels and placement
  • Determines event needs, sets event objectives, formulates and executes event strategies through consultation with senior management, department and product managers, branch managers, vendor and media representatives.
  • Manages the event budget and ensures costs are allocated appropriately and timely.
    • Provides cost estimates and strategies for the most effective use of funds to achieve event objectives.
  • Ensures invoices are paid timely.

Experience Required

Three (3) years of marketing or advertising experience, which includes planning and executing programs with wide scope and impact. Familiarity with retail banking is a plus.

Required Skills or Training

  • Excellent writing ability and experience reviewing advertising copy and other marketing materials.
  • In-depth knowledge of Advertising and Marketing principles.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, with a high degree of project management skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications required.

Professional Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle required.
