A Day In The Life The IT Product Owner I is a hands-on role that oversees the development and maintenance of parts operations applications under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities include gathering business requirements, supporting backlog management, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver software solutions aligned with business needs. As a IT Product Owner I you will:
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Support backlog management by helping to organize, prioritize, and track development tasks.
- Work closely with developers, testers, and business analysts to understand technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in writing user stories and acceptance criteria for product enhancements.
- Conduct basic testing and validation of product features to ensure business needs are met.
- Provide basic application support, troubleshooting minor issues, and escalating complex problems.
- Learn and document business processes related to parts operations applications.
- Support release and patch management activities.
- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related IT roles.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiarity with IT product development and software lifecycle processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to take initiative
