We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with Software Engineering experience at Precise Systems for the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN. This position involves supporting counter-unmanned aerial systems (c-UAS) technology with a focus on military weapons systems, software design, and embedded hardware programming. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience.
Duties:

  • System Design & Development: Apply engineering principles to design, develop, test, and evaluate military weapons systems, especially for c-UAS technologies.
  • Documentation & Reports: Review, prepare, and create technical documents, including analyses, change proposals, and recommendations for test plans or procedures.
  • Integration & Quality Assurance: Perform system integration, configuration management, and quality assurance for c-UAS systems.
  • Software Engineering: Design, implement, test, and support software systems and contribute to the writing of procedures and work instructions.
  • Engineering Support: Investigate technical issues, evaluate design specifications, and propose engineering solutions or changes as needed.

Desired Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university/college.

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years in Electronics Warfare Systems or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, MATLAB) and experience with CAD software like AutoCAD and simulation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems programming.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DOD) System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.
  • Understanding of Naval Test Procedures.
  • Basic understanding of Electronic Warfare systems.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
