This unique Brand and Communications Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key voice in shaping the future of the joint venture between UHC and Warburg Pincus, an exciting new partnership that will become an independent company. This role is responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies across a variety of audiences that enhance the brand's visibility and reputation. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally to ensure consistency in messaging and positioning across all channels. The Brand and Communications Manager will also be responsible for internal employee communications and supporting the overall employee experience through creating clear communications, tools and resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

Brand communications



  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand communication strategies
  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and print
  • Mange public relations efforts, including press releases, media placement and stakeholder involvement
  • Monitor brand performance and provide insights for continuous improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product team, web team and provider network teams to align messaging and campaigns to support business objectives and growth outcomes
    Oversee the production of marketing materials and branding collateral with agency partners
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for brand enhancement
  • Create and maintain personas, working cross-functionally to implement strategies and insights into go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate on messaging needs and guidance to support overall business needs, including coordinating web updates and enhancements with marketing, web team, product team, and external stakeholders



Employee communications



  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, SharePoint/Intranet, townhalls and websites
  • Support employee engagement activities and initiatives to help create a dynamic and meaningful work environment for a predominantly virtual team
  • Collaborate with functional teams and human resources to identify communication needs and solutions

Required Qualifications:



  • 4+ years of experience in brand management or communications, with a proven track record in developing successful communication strategies
  • 4+ years of copywriting experience
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights
  • Proven project management skills and attention to detail



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Visual storytelling experience: Graphic design, video editing
  • Experience working with multiple brand standards
  • Experience creating new processes and systems
  • Experience building or maintaining a SharePoint
  • Copywriting experience and solid grammar skills
  • Healthcare industry experience

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
