JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is focused on the analysis, design, planning, development, implementation, and testing of analytical tracking solutions for FOX websites, mobile apps, and connected TV (OTT) apps.

Key functions include, but are not limited to, meeting with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and define data driven measurement goals, designing and documenting solutions to track these objectives, coordinating the technical implementation of analytics tags & SDKs with internal and external development teams, automating the implementation of data analytics tags via a tag manager, debugging, configuring reports and dashboards and testing and troubleshooting the implementation. The role is also responsible for providing guidance and best practices to analysts, full stack data engineers, product owners, marketers, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

    A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage analytics implementation workflow.

    • Build data models, define data strategy and analytics implementation reflecting current and anticipated future stakeholder needs

    • Define, document, and maintain requirements for specific measurement goals.

    • Manage internal and external engineers on implementation of tags/SDKs/data APIs.

    • Design and Implement analytics tags via tag manager

    • Configure reports via admin console and tag management platforms or using SQL/Python.

    • Define processing logic, manage user permissions

    • Debug and validate the implementations

    • Strategy and Guidance

    • Meet with stakeholders to understand business objectives.

    • Demonstrate and document ways to perform analyses and gain insights via analytics solutions.

    • Perform analyses and create reports to directly support CPE team.

    • Evangelize data-driven decision-making and best practices.

    • Quality Assurance

    • Ability to test and validate data collection to ensure proper functioning end-to-end .

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • You should have a strong background with a variety of SaaS measurement platforms and data visualization tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Comscore, and Nielsen, and understands how to use these tools to perform analyses and reporting as well as how to implement and configure the tags and SDKs that power them.
    • You should also be similarly familiar with data collection and tag management platforms like Segment, Tealium, Google Tag Manager etc, as well as familiarity with cloud base data platforms like AWS Redshift, S3, EMR, Snowflake, etc.
    • Knowledge with the technical workings of analytics tools from SDK implementation to the actual network request.
    • Strong candidates will have experience running analyses and queries with both software front-ends and via SQL/Python.
    • In addition, excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate and document measurement requirements and capabilities to both non-technical and technical stakeholders is required.

    NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

    • Knowledge of computer science and programming languages like Javascript, Objective C, and Java is highly preferred.

    Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-158,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
