About the Position Members of the WEI finance operations team serve as trusted partners, working closely with other WEI teams to ensure financial and business processes are designed to run simply and efficiently. In this capacity, the Accounting Manager will lead the payments processing team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a demonstrated self-starter, a skilled and resourceful problem solver, and a service-oriented partner who will work to deliver world class service to our business partners. Responsibilities The Accounting Manager will lead the payments processing team. General responsibilities include: - Manage the accounting staff who are responsible for the flow of incoming and outgoing funds providing an atmosphere that emphasizes quality and accuracy, integrity, and employee development and retention - Assist with approval of cash activity including coordinating with other staff to ensure timely payment and high-quality input to accounting software - Coordinate with other Accounting Managers to provide support for other finance and accounting projects - Identifying and monitoring key metrics & variables to inform decision-making or track progress against financial objectives and ensure efficient procedures and use of resources - Effectively build credibility and trusted relationships with WEI leaders/departments, ecosystem partners, and staff - Assist with oversight of projects from inception to implementation that result in standardization and efficiency, including documentation and analysis of workflow systems and processes Required qualifications include - Significant relevant service in accounting, with experience directly managing/supervising non-exempt level staff. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, or equivalent experience - Demonstrated experience in managing cash controls and experience working generally accepted accounting principles - Strong knowledge of ERP accounting systems and experience implementing processes & procedures to enforce company policies - Strong interpersonal skills, adept at building trust and developing relationships - Accomplished problem solver with ability to develop creative, collaborative, efficient solutions Preferred qualifications include - Familiarity with financial software & coding or ability to automate manual financial processes, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Experience hiring, training and evaluating employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product - including motivating and rewarding employees - Excellent knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices - Experience preparing 1099s - Project management experience Personal attributes that support your success - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exceptional communication and presentation skills - An organized and thoughtful approach to working - Ability to manage complexity and bring simplicity to processes - A "Team First" person who is dedicated to achieving excellence and working well as a team - Ability to embrace, develop, and consult toward creative solutions for ideas/concepts - Confident and willing to share ideas, address concerns head-on, ask questions for clarification, handle feedback in a professional manner and have difficult conversations when appropriate - A strong partner to all stakeholders, putting a priority on collaboration in support of developing best thinking and recommendations All offers of employment are contingent on your successful completion (where permitted by state law) of a confidentiality agreement, background check, and credit check. Compensation and Benefits Information Compensation Range: $146,000 - $183,000 Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.
