Location: Mt. Sterling, IL
Department: Human Resources (HR)
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Wage Range: $16.19 to $23.06 per hour, plus bonus opportunity

As an HR Specialist-Personnel, you will manage employment records from initiation of the hiring process through the employment process. You will also help manage employment changes, termination of employment and post-employment communication.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Utilizes computer programs and other standard office equipment to record, store and retrieve information
  • Provides new employees with appropriate employment forms and processes new hire paperwork
  • Helps guide employees through policies and procedures and answers relevant questions
  • Manages personal information changes, such as address, email, and phone changes
  • Helps process employment changes for departments across the business (i.e. pay rate, department, supervisor to report to, transfer, promotions, terminations, etc...)
  • Gather and provide government reporting on personnel data
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.


YOU MUST HAVE



  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
  • Proven working knowledge Microsoft Office products
  • Experience maintaining confidential information
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and other departments


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior Human Resources experience
  • Customer service skills to serve employees in an appropriate manner



ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00-5:00
  • Work that is both independent and team oriented
  • Travel: Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by car, plane, or train
