Business Management M&A Analyst Role What is the Opportunity? The Global Investment Banking division is looking to add an Analyst to the Business Management Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team, based in New York City. What will you do?
- Provide direct support to Global M&A Business manager, Global M&A Group Head, and Regional US Group Heads
- Maintain M&A pipeline file; includes incorporating daily M&A deal updates from team
- Produce weekly revenue, pipeline, and deal reports; work with business management team, Group Heads, and internal team to understand revenue details, deal timing, forecast, etc.
- Conduct market share competitive analysis of industry sectors, markets and products and other ad-hoc analytics using dealogic and other sources
- On-going lead for various internal management meetings and initiatives (including weekly management meetings, monthly industry meetings, business review meetings, etc.)
- Prepare and interpret strategic & financial reports that combine all aspects of the business, including but not limited to: Client Profiling, Banker Productivity, Competitive Analytics, Missed Deals, Creation of bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly management packs and more
- Coordinate revenue booking and payments with internal product control and finance team
- Provide fee runs to M&A team for deals
- Assist in annual business planning process
- Work with external sources on deal credit
- Create materials for internal and external speaking engagements and presentations
- Assist on other M&A team administrative items and tasks
What do you need to succeed?
- BS in Finance/Accounting or related fields
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience at a financial institution
- Must have advanced proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Dealogic, etc.
- Must have proficient excel formula and modeling skills
- Project management mind-set and approach
- Knowledge of Investment Banking product set preferred (ECM, DCM, M&A, and Lev Fin)
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment
- Comfort and confidence interacting with Senior Leaders and management
- Extremely detail oriented and analytical
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
- Team player

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $90,000 - $110,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
