DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Laborer, you will perform a variety of work in the groundskeeping and maintenance at Norristown State Hospital. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving furniture and equipment, and assisting the laundry department. In this position, you will erect scaffolds, climb ladders, run cement mixers, and use wheelbarrows. You can expect to assist tradesmen and repairmen in completing work orders. Additionally, you will perform other types of labor work in various areas within the maintenance department. Interested in learning more? - Temporary full-time employment through December 31, 2025, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
