Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer for our client in the Travel and Transportation Industry. This is anticipated to be a 6-month Contract opportunity which is REMOTE. However, preference will be given to candidates in the DFW area (for occasional meetings). Contract rate; $60.00ph - $65.00ph W2 Status: Only candidates available and ready to work directly as employees will be considered for this position. Senior Full Stack Developer - Backend/API Focus (Python Preferred) Experience Required: Minimum 7 years We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure RESTful APIs that power a cloud-based web application. While this is a full stack role, the focus is on building robust backend services and API integrations with modern front-end applications. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in Python (FastAPI/Flask preferred) and experienced in working with cloud-native infrastructure and databases. Core Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate with front-end applications Build scalable and secure microservices using Python (preferred) or Java Integrate APIs with backend data sources including Aurora (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and MongoDB Implement secure authentication and authorization with OAuth, JWT, and AWS Secrets Manager Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of services in AWS Use Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and deploy services Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment Work with Confluent Kafka to support streaming and asynchronous data pipelines Monitor application health and logs using CloudWatch, implement alerting and diagnostics Ensure best practices for API versioning, throttling, logging, validation, and data integrity Collaborate closely with UI/UX developers, product managers, and infrastructure teams Required Skills: Strong expertise in REST API development using Python (FastAPI or Flask preferred) or Java (Spring Boot) Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API security best practices Hands-on experience with: Aurora (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, MongoDB Confluent Kafka for messaging/streaming GitLab CI/CD, version control, Docker, and Kubernetes AWS proficiency including: Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora, EventBridge, SNS, CloudWatch, Route 53, WAF, Secrets Manager If you have the qualifications described and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
