The WilmerHale Summer Program will expose you to the breadth of the firm's practice and the range of talents among its lawyers. Our summer program promises challenging assignments, practical training and opportunities to work and socialize with many of our lawyers. By providing you with a realistic view of the firm through challenging work, practical training and the opportunity to work and socialize with many of our lawyers, we try to give you the insight you need to make an informed decision to join us after graduation or a clerkship.

WilmerHale is currently accepting applications for qualified second year law school students to join the 2026 Summer Associate Program.

Eligibility: The 2L position is open to all full-time, first-year law students who expect to graduate from an ABA-accredited law school in 2027. We seek to hire students whose academic and personal record of achievement demonstrates a commitment to excellence and typically the students we hire are at or near the top of their class.

Interested students should submit a cover letter, 1st semester/ 1st two trimesters of law school transcript, resume and writing sample.
