The Quality Engineer Team Leader ensures product quality, process integrity, and compliance in the chemical manufacturing environment. This role maintains the Quality Management System (QMS), drives ISO 9001:2023, RC14001 and leads continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), implementing corrective actions (CAPA), and reducing material loss.
Working cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain, the Quality Engineer integrates quality into daily operations, supports TPM initiatives, and applies SPC, Lean, and 5S for process improvements. This role also provides floor-level engagement, conducts training on quality and defect prevention, and reinforces a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. What's in it For You:

What You Will Do:
Manage site lab operations and 1 Lab Technician Conduct Quality Assurance Testing when Lab Technician is on vacation Aid plant manager in SAP setups / alterations including quality setups and manufacturing/labor cycle times Ownership of the sites Management of Change (MOC) program Site Industrial Hygiene review and testing Maintain site RedList program Manage plants restricted / expiring stock to eliminate losses associated with shipping to parent plant or wasting. Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and regulatory requirements. Monitor and improve QMS KPIs (First Pass Fail, Bad Batches, Customer Complaints, Non-conformances). Lead internal and external audits, CAPA, and material review processes to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Develop, revise, and sustain SOPs, Work Instructions, and One-Point Lessons (OPLs) to reinforce best practices. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5-Whys, and FMEA to eliminate recurring quality issues. Identify and eliminate sources of material loss, scrap, and out-of-specification product through data-driven improvements. Engage in Kaizen and Focused Improvement (FI) activities to drive operational excellence. Provide floor-level quality support, spending 50% of time on the production floor to reinforce best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 2 years of quality experience in a chemical, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Experience working within an ISO 9001:2023-certified and/or RC14001 QMS. Strong knowledge of quality auditing principles and internal audit experience. No immigration sponsorship available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical or Chemical engineering degrees 4 years' Quality experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or RDE 4 years' experience with ISO 9001 and/or RC14001 Experience in a continuous improvement environment (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and/or 5S experience) Project management experience
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: $72,700.00 - $109,100.00 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
