Overview

Job Purpose

The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking an Analyst-level Trading Official to join the Surveillance & Investigations team within NYSE Regulation. NYSE Regulation's mission is to, among other things, protect investors and the integrity of the markets by investigating potential misconduct and enforcing the rules of the NYSE equities and options exchanges as well as the federal securities laws.

Trading Officials perform a critical role in the day-to-day operation and oversight of the NYSE Arca Options Trading Floor in San Francisco, CA. Trading Officials are instrumental in maintaining a fair and orderly marketplace while protecting customer interest, monitoring the trading crowd, and enforcing NYSE Arca rules of priority. Trading Officials are versed in rules and regulations applicable to floor trading and take action in accordance with the Trading Official Manual.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the activity of floor brokers and crowd participants to ensure that trades are consummated accurately and expediently.
  • Ensure the integrity of orders that reside on the NYSE Arca Options consolidated order book.
  • Ensure floor market participants are in compliance with trading floor rules including, but not limited to, NYSE Arca Rule 6-Options Trading.
  • Monitor trading issues and escalate to supervisors as necessary.
  • Act as the liaison between the trading floor community, the NYSE Arca trade support desk, and NYSE Regulation staff in San Francisco and New York.
  • Ensure that a proper and orderly trading floor environment is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that trading posts are appropriately staffed during trading hours.
  • Document unusual trading activity and submit Unusual Activity Reports as necessary.
  • Use various systems including Pillar, ServiceNow, and LiveVol, and maintain and update applicable filters and settings within the Trading Official workstation.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with options trading required; prior experience on a trading floor strongly preferred.

California Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role, if located in California, is between $85,000 - $100,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
