Day Services Supervisor | Full-Time | M-F 8a-4:30p | Mankato MN.

The Day Services Supervisor is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Adult Day Service Center services and programs. This position is responsible for ensuring activities engage the participants mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. This position is also responsible for helping participants maintain or improve their level of functioning and to improve their quality of life.

Opportunity Details:



  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or holidays!
  • Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Uses pre-admission assessment tool to screen potential participants. Evaluates participant's needs for other community resources and makes appropriate referrals.
  2. Develops and implements daily programming that engages clients and helps maintain or improve their level of functioning and quality of life.
  3. Establishes and/or negotiates client reimbursement levels with private pay clients and 3rd party players.
  4. Supervises staff and volunteers, ensuring the safety of all clients and staff in the Day Center.
  5. Reviews documentation of clients progress according to State, Federal and Day Living laws, procedures and policies.
  6. Provides opportunities for clients to participate as their abilities allow such as assisting with pushing client wheelchairs to and from special events and assistance with meal preparation in the day center.
  7. Writes care plans and schedules conferences regarding client's progress.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation, certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Licensure by the State of Minnesota as a licensed practical nurse, Activity Director certification or completion 2 years post-secondary education from an accredited college, university or technical institute.
  • Two years experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, Right to know, and MSDS.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Alzheimer's/Dementia training
  • Experience working with Seniors
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification
