Job Summary:
The Retail Store Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the retail operations at the H-D Museum Campus, managing both the H-D Shop and the Factory Outlet Store. This role requires a dynamic leader who will drive operational excellence, cultivate a high-performance team, and deliver an exceptional guest and museum campus experience. The Store Lead works cross-functionally with the museum campus team and collaborates with the retail product team on assortment, purchasing, inventory management, and product life cycle decisions to drive revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and develop a team of retail associates, supervisors, and assistant managers to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of inclusivity, growth, and high performance.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to build skills and career pathways.
- Ensure a positive and motivating work environment where employees feel a strong sense of belonging.
Guest Experience & Sales Performance:
- Drive sales and profitability by ensuring stores meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure a world-class guest experience by upholding high service standards and engaging with customers authentically.
- Analyze sales data and trends to develop strategies that optimize store performance and guest satisfaction.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance guest engagement, including events, promotions, and product launches.
- Keep the stores visually appealing and ensure merchandising strategies are in place to increase sales.
- Work collaboratively across teams to drive campus visitations and sales
Store Operations & Inventory Management:
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in execution.
- Create and maintain yearly budgets and goals to ensure financial health and business growth.
- Work closely with the retail product team to manage assortment planning, purchasing, and inventory lifecycle.
- Ensure accurate inventory control, minimizing shrinkage and optimizing stock levels.
- Maintain store visual merchandising standards in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Uphold compliance with all operational policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Community & Brand Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships within the H-D Museum campus community to enhance collaboration and synergy.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with Harley-Davidson's values and heritage.
- Engage with the local community to build connections, drive store traffic, and support museum initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to support museum initiatives, special events, and brand activations.
Education Specifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a multi-store or high-traffic retail environment.
- Proven track record of leading successful teams, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong business acumen with experience in sales analysis, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Passion for Harley-Davidson's brand, culture, and heritage is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
