UNC Asheville invites applications for the position of Head Women's Tennis Coach. This position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the intercollegiate women's tennis program. The Head Women's Tennis Coach at
UNC Asheville will lead a competitive
NCAA Division I Women's Tennis program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan. The ideal candidate will exhibit our core values of servant leadership, dedication, excellence, and inclusion. Also, the individual will be passionate about working in college athletics and developing students into champions and leaders in the classroom, in the community, and on the court with our current resources.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching, teaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. This position is required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the
NCAA and Big South Conference. |

Required Education/Experience/Skills |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five to eight years of successful collegiate coaching or professional playing experience.
- Proven experience working with and improving the performance of student athletes.
- Demonstrated successful leadership experience.
- Track record of strong commitment to a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring student-athlete welfare is paramount.

- Master's degree preferred.
- Previous collegiate coaching experience.
- Experience as a Division I student-athlete.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Women's Tennis Program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the
NCAA and Big South Conference. |
