What You'll Do

IronArch is seeking a Report Analyst to support the Office of Information Technology and Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Our IronArch team members are trusted advisors to the client and develop enterprise-level reporting visible to leadership across the VA. The Report Analyst will administer Power BI reporting for the VA Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office. This person will respond to short term requests for new or updated Power BI reporting or excel data pulls for requested information.

The Report Analyst will be accountable for:

  • Power BI dashboard user administration - adding, changing, and removing users
  • Managing and maintaining access permissions for internal, external, and acquisition sensitive reporting
  • Power BI report maintenance - updating data sources, configuring User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design, monitoring report performance, adding new data sources
  • Ad hoc report creation - responding to one-off report requests and short notice report creation requirements
  • Ad hoc data pulls - short term requests for excel data pulls from the reporting database
  • Report documentation and training - creating user guides and providing demos of new and existing reports
  • Querying, manipulating, and reporting on data stored in a SQL database
  • Working with technical SMEs to integrate with more data sources to broaden the scope of ingested data
  • Creating thoughtful dashboards and reports that add value for client stakeholders, including VA leadership up to the CIO and CTO level
  • Collaborating with the Enterprise Reporting team to prioritize tasks in a matrixed team environment
  • Collaborating with client stakeholders to ensure dashboards and reports meet requirements
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • US Citizenship or Green Card required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Experience with Power BI/Power Query
  • 1-year minimum experience reporting with Power BI
  • 2-5 years' experience
  • Proficiency managing data in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Experience

  • Writing formulas in Excel, VBA, M, DAX, R, or Python
  • Working with databases, APIs, data integration, or business intelligence platforms
  • Applying Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles
  • Experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
